About the Role
We are working with a well-established and highly reputable freight forwarder in the Wythenshawe area who are looking to add an experienced Ocean Freight Operator to their growing team. You will be handling either import or export ocean freight shipments, managing the full operational process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end ocean freight operations (import or export)
- Book shipments with carriers and co-loaders
- Prepare and process all relevant shipping documentation
- Liaise with overseas agents, customers, and suppliers
- Track and monitor shipments, resolving any issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with customs and shipping regulations
- Provide high levels of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle
- Maintain accurate records and system updates
