The Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Coordinator to take ownership of our day-to-day HR administration and payroll processes. This is a standalone HR role, offering the autonomy to manage your own workload while working alongside a supportive management team and colleagues across the business.
The successful candidate will be confident working independently, highly organised, and passionate about delivering an efficient and professional HR service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly payroll process, including complex payroll requirements for drivers.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update HR systems.
- Process HR documentation, including contracts, offer letters, amendments, and leaver documentation.
- Ensure employee data is maintained in line with GDPR requirements.
- Keep employee and vendor records accurate and up to date.
- Support managers and employees with day-to-day HR queries.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Assist with onboarding and induction of new employees.
- Support absence management and maintain accurate sickness records.
- Liaise with colleagues across our international offices where required.
- Produce HR reports and maintain confidential personnel files.
- Provide administrative support across all areas of the employee lifecycle.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within a HR Coordinator, HR Administrator or similar HR role.
- Previous payroll experience, including managing complex payroll processes.
- Experience working independently within a standalone HR function or managing your own workload.
- Good knowledge of UK employment law, HR regulations and GDPR.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using HR systems and confidently inputting and maintaining employee data.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
- A professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information.
- A proactive, flexible attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working with employees across different departments and international locations.
