We are excited to be working with a well established Freight Forwarding company in West Yorkshire who are looking for a Customs Operator to ensure that shipments have all of the correct documentation and move through ports and borders without delay.
This role is focused on Sea and Road shipments so the ideal candidate should have good knowledge of European & Far/Middle East customs regulations and procedures.
- Manage the preparation, submission, and clearance of customs documentation
- Ensure compliance with all UK and European customs regulations and procedures
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and clearance through customs
- Communicate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to resolve any customs issues or delays
- Maintain accurate records of customs entries, tariffs, and other documentation
- Provide guidance and support to customers and internal teams on customs requirements and procedures
- Stay up to date with changes in customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements within the European market
- Assist with the preparation of reports and audits related to customs compliance
- Support the sales team with customer queries on customs and import/export procedures
