We are looking for an Export Operator with experience in managing shipments via Air based in Manchester. This role is working for a well established company who offer a supportive working environment. It's a small team with big ideas so we are looking for someone who is ambitious and who wants to progress.
In this role, you'll be responsible for managing end to end shipments for regular customers. The company exports to various locations so we will consider candidates with any experience within freight forwarding.
Main duties to include:
- Managing Exports for regular clients
- Obtaining the best prices from carriers and negotiating rates
- Ensuring customers have the correct solution that meets their needs
- Ensure all shipments have the correct documentation
- Update customers and carriers with any changes
- Resolve queries relating to lost, damaged or delayed shipments
- Customs entries on CDS
We are looking for:
- Experience of managing Air Exports
- Experience in a freight forwarder or similar business
- Overview of customs processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Someone who is organised and sees tasks through to completion
- Ability to work to deadlines
Salary: £30k-£40k
Hours: 9am-5.30pm (can be flexible)
