We are looking for an Export Operator with experience in Sea Exports. This role is working for a well established company with a longstanding team. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing end to end shipments for regular customers. The company ship from from various locations.Main duties to include:
- Managing exports for regular clients from start to finish
- Obtaining the best prices from carriers and negotiating rates
- Ensuring customers have the correct solution that meets their needs
- Ensure all shipments have the correct documentation
- Update customers and carriers with any changes
- Resolve queries relating to lost, damaged or delayed shipments
- Handling customs clearance
- Responsible for the costing and billing on files
- Quotation experience an advantage
We are looking for:
- Experience of managing sea exports
- Experience in a freight forwarder or similar business
- Excellent communication skills
- Someone who is organised and sees tasks through to completion
- Ability to work to deadlines
