Road Freight Operator

Road freight operator based in Leeds

We are urgently looking for a Road Freight Operator to manage end to end shipments for a wide range of customers. This role is working for a freight forwarder in Leeds and they are happy to look at people with either Import or Export experienceIn this role, you'll liaise with customers and overseas agents, plan loads and raise import / Export documentation for shipments – UK to Europe. We are looking for someone who has working knowledge of export documentation and knowledge of road freight.This is a family run business and their Leeds office has a small, friendly team with excellent staff retention.Main duties to include:

• Liaising with customers and overseas agents
• Planning loads and liaising with hauliers
• Completing export documentation and ensuring a smooth transition from UK ports
• Customer service

We are looking for:

• Experience of working in road freight and groupage would be an advantage
• Knowledge of export documentation for UK to Europe
• Good communication skills
• Ability to use own initiative and think on your feet
• Excellent attention to detail 

Salary circa £28-£35k may be some room for negotiation for the right personHours: 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday, with 1 hour for lunch
