Freight Operations and Sales

Basic salary up to £32kGood Bonus structureMonday to Friday, 9am-5pmOpportunity to work for a well established business and opportunities to expand into salesWe're currently recruiting for a Freight Operator to join our client in Manchester This role is perfect if you are keen to move from an operational freight role into sales.We will consider experience in any mode of Freight, Air / Road / Sea and full training will be provided on all modes.You will be fully involved in operations whilst learning the sales side and building your client base / portfolio.We are looking for:

• Experience of Air / Road / Sea operations
• Customs experience is essential
• Experience in a freight forwarder or similar business
• Excellent communication skills
• Someone who is organised and sees tasks through to completion
• Ability to work to deadlines
• A keen interest to progress into sales

It will be an advantage if you have some sales experience and want to work for a business that will support your training and development. The business offers a friendly working environment with lots of progression opportunities. You'll be looking after a number of existing client accounts, as well as creating new business opportunities from warm leads as well as lapsed clients. You'll be handling in/outbound calls, dealing with customer service queries, general administration tasks.We're looking for someone who is hard working and confident in building relationships, ideally with some form of sales background. Our client are looking to interview asap for this role so if this sounds like it could be for you, then apply now and we'll be in touch.
