Role Description
The Public Relations Account Manager position is initially to cover maternity leave but it will be a permanent role. The role is responsible for planning and executing PR and marketing activities for outdoor active lifestyle clients. This hybrid position is based in Malmesbury for at least two days, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing client accounts, developing PR strategies, drafting press releases and media materials, and coordinating campaigns across UK and European markets. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with journalists, influencers, and partner agencies, monitoring coverage, and reporting results to clients. The Account Manager will also support social media content, event and experiential activities, and contribute to creative ideas that strengthen client visibility and brand reputation.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Public Relations and Media Relations skills, including experience working with specialist and national media.
- Candidates should possess solid Account Management skills, with a track record of managing client expectations, timelines, and budgets.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with clients, media, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess experience creating and distributing Press Releases and related PR materials tailored to different audiences.
- Experience in PR within outdoor, sports, or lifestyle sectors is beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Comfort with hybrid working, digital collaboration tools, and occasional travel for meetings or events.
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in PR, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is advantageous.
