Overview

As the Membership Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and administration of memberships to our Meet N Match friendship and dating agency for adults with learning disabilites and autistic adults.

You will be a key contact for members, providing support, setting up dates and friendship matches, as well as organising, delivering and attending members only events to support people with learning disabilities and autistic adults to form meaningful friendships and relationships.

You will work alongside our existing coordinator to recruit new members, plan members only events, plan and organise first dates and friendship matches, and provide ongoing support to our members.

Responsibilities

  • Membership Management: To coordinate and administer memberships to the Meet N Match friendship and dating agency. Maintain an up-to-date, efficient database of members and ensure accurate and timely handling of paperwork (e.g. membership forms, references, risk assessments). Process and administer membership applications.
  • Member Engagement & Communication: To build relationships with members, potential members, family members and carers which encourage and enable people with learning disabilities and autism to participate in social activities. Provide high-quality, proactive support via phone, email, social media, and face-to-face interactions. Assisting with enquiries and proactively offering customer support in a timely manner.
  • Matchmaking & Coordination: Review member applications to make thoughtful, appropriate matches for dates or friendships. Organise and coordinate matches, including liaising with members, support staff, family and chaperones. Follow up after matches in a timely manner to gather feedback, monitor outcomes and provide support.
  • Recruitment & Retention: Plan and deliver outreach and marketing campaigns to attract new members. Develop and implement strategies to retain and re-engage existing members.
  • Community Engagement & Promotion: Build relationships with local individuals and organisations in the community to promote membership and other opportunities. Maintain regular communication with members to keep them informed about members only events and other social inclusion activities. Promote and publicise memberships through multiple channels, including social media, direct marketing and through community engagement.
  • Supportive Activities & Inclusion: Assist in the planning and delivery of positive activities to support connections. Provide a programme of inclusive, positive social activities and support members to engage in events, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of participants is a priority at all activities.
  • Administration & Compliance: Maintain strong administrative systems and follow all required procedures. Ensure membership fees are collected and followed up if any discrepancies occur.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of member information, contact time, matches and other relevant data via our CRM and other systems, collected and stored in line with GDPR and monitoring requirements. Track matches, activities, and engagement and prepare reports on member engagement for team meetings, funders and board of directors as required.
  • Evaluation & Improvement: Conduct regular evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
  • General Duties: Represent the organisation positively at all times; be aware of project targets and the wider strategic objectives of the organisation and assist in working towards these; understand and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures; maintain personal and professional development at all times; undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
