Salary: £26,510 per annum (pro-rata)

Location: Sandwich, Kent

Contract/Hours: Permanent/Part Time – 10 hours per week – 6pm – 8pm Mon‑Fri

About the Role:

A dedicated cleaner at our Sandwich nursery will maintain a safe and hygienic environment for children. You will work alongside one other staff member, sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising bathrooms, kitchens and common areas. You will check and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and adhere to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake cleaning of designated premises as detailed in the cleaning schedule within set timescales.
  • Maintain a stock of cleaning supplies and alert management to replenish stock when necessary.
  • Use and store cleaning materials safely in line with Health & Safety at Work Regulations and Action for Children policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations is desirable.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork ability.
  • Initiative and independence when required.
  • Beneficial knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety at work.
