Level 3 Teaching Assistant (4 days) based at Spring Brook Upper in Oldham

• Soundexperience of supporting young people who present with challenging behaviourand complex needs, preferably within an SEMH setting
• Experience of supporting young people toovercome barriers to their personal, social or learning development from apastoral perspective
• Experience of intervening to supportstudents incrisisortraumaby using eitheremotionalor educational support
• Anurturing and empathetic approach to behaviourmanagement
• The physicaland emotional resilience to support pupils with SEMH, understanding that allbehaviour is a form of communication
• Experience of supporting teaching and learningactivities for students and providing support for the class teacher in thepreparation and organisational processes involved in the day to day running ofa lesson.
• Experience of delivering bespoke interventionsto individuals or small groups of learners
• Experience of providing cover in the short-termabsence of the class teacher
• Experienceof monitoring and assessing student progress and engagement; and providingregular feedback to stakeholders
• Experienceof working in partnership with classroom teachers to differentiate appropriateinterventions for students in relation to thecurriculum
• Experienceof supervising students over lunch and break times as directed
• The ability to buildrelationshipswithstudents,families andkeypartnersaround thestudents.
• The ability to work as part of a team using owninitiative when needed
