About the role Spreedly is hiring a Senior Accountant to manage our finance operations as we modernize our systems.

This role focuses on high-level accounting, system automation, and process improvement rather than manual data entry.

You will work directly with the Controller to maintain a lean, efficient finance function using modern tools.

What you'll do

  • Execute month-end close tasks including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and account reconciliations.
  • Manage balance sheet and subledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely clearing.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing through automated workflows and exception management.
  • Administer company payroll and record related accounting entries in Rippling.
  • Manage equity and stock administration using Carta.
  • Review and reconcile employee expenses and corporate card activity in Ramp.
  • Handle initial revenue recognition and contract configuration in Net Suite per ASC 606 standards.
  • Provide documentation and schedules to support the outsourced tax function.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the finance tech stack, including Net Suite, Rippling, and Ramp.
  • Develop and pilot AI-driven workflows to reduce manual tasks and improve accuracy.
  • Assist with annual audits and maintain process documentation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close ownership.
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in U. S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Hands-on experience with a major ERP, with a strong preference for Net Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to own outcomes in a fast-paced, lean environment.
  • Aptitude for adopting AI tools and new systems to increase efficiency.
  • Nice to have
  • CPA certification or active candidate status.
  • Background in Saa S, technology, or fintech sectors.
  • Experience using Anthropic Claude for accounting tasks.
  • Familiarity with Rippling, Ramp, Carta, or Maxio.
  • Demonstrated history of automating manual accounting processes.
