We're looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team at the Spread Eagle. The Spread Eagle is a well-established community pub with a fantastic reputation, a loyal guest base and an experienced team who genuinely care about what they do. Many of our team members have been with us for years, creating a welcoming culture and strong relationships with our guests that we're incredibly proud of. We're now looking for an Assistant Manager who can build on that strong foundation.
Working closely with Luke and the wider management team, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the pub, developing the team and helping drive standards, performance and guest experience. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact, contribute fresh ideas and continue developing their hospitality career within a growing family business.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading organised, well-structured shifts and supporting the wider team to perform at their best
- Coaching, developing and motivating team members to build confidence, capability and future talent
- Maintaining consistently high standards across service, cleanliness and guest experience
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
- Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally and confidently
- Supporting labour control, stock processes and operational compliance
- Working alongside the management team to identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency and team performance
