Love seeing a plan come to life? Are you passionate about seeing developments delivered exactly as promised? The council is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented individual to ensure developments across the district meet their conditions and legal obligations and adhere to approved plans.
Working within our Planning Services team, you will monitor on‑site progress, track developer contributions and, where necessary, take enforcement action against breaches. We are seeking a standout communicator who takes pride in delivering a high‑quality service with a proactive, “can‑do” attitude.
With 4 GCSEs (grade C or grade 4 above) or equivalent, including English and Maths, you will have experience in dealing with the general public within a customer service environment and responding to written and oral enquiries. Ideal candidates will be able to read and interpret maps, plans and technical drawings, as well as ensuring accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
For this role, you will need to have a driving license and access to a car for site visits. We do offer hybrid working arrangements; the minimum expectation for this role is to be present in the office at least three days per week.
