You\’ll be at the forefront of driving our digital content infrastructure, products, and services forward. Providing a professional and proactive service aligned with business needs in an ITIL best practice-focused Operations team is key to this role.Your responsibilities include offering DevOps collaborative assistance, supporting development teams with day-to-day tasks within the development, stage, and UAT environments before release to production. Your success in this role directly contributes to the improvements and evolution of Racing Post newspaper production, website, and digital content infrastructure, products, and services. We also value your experience in hands-on implementation of DevOps practices at scale.We\’re looking for someone inquisitive, keen to learn, and proactive, especially as this is a London based role (hybrid with 3 days in the office, 2 from home). In this exciting position, you\’ll have Research and Development (R&D) opportunities, exploring new technologies for the company to generate new knowledge that might be used to create innovative technology, products, services, or systems. Excellent communication skills are essential for effective stakeholder interaction.RequirementsStrong technical foundations and experience with AWSExperience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)Strong understanding of DevOps concepts (performance monitoring, autoscaling, failover, redundancy, traffic analysis)Efficiently skilled using containers and containerisation architecture (e.g. Docker, AWS ECS)Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab)Experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as, Grafana and DataDogComfortable in at least one of the following programming languages (Python, Go, Groovy)Experience using source control (BitBucket, Git) and feature branching strategiesNetwork configuration and troubleshootingExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to clearly document workFamiliarity with CDN architecture and servicesWhile the above skills are essential, it would be fantastic if you also had:Experience with web delivery workflowsUnderstanding of WAF technologiesFamiliarity of microservices architecturesWe offer a range of well-being initiatives, including private medical insurance, excellent parental leave, a working globally policy, mental health support, assistance programs, and social gatherings.
