We’re looking for a Senior Digital Learning Experience Designer to join our Learning & Inclusion team, the group responsible for creating learning experiences that help every Spotify band member grow, belong, and do their best work.

You’ll bring together instructional design, visual design, storytelling, and broader learning and development expertise to create inclusive and effective experiences at scale.

You’ll partner with subject-matter experts, people leaders, and Learning & Inclusion colleagues on company-wide initiatives, from leadership development to programs that bring Spotify’s values to life.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end design of learning experiences, from needs analysis and curriculum architecture through development, launch, and evaluation.
  • Partner with subject-matter experts and stakeholders to identify performance needs and turn them into clear learning objectives and practical solutions.
  • Design learning journeys across live, digital, blended, and self-directed formats using evidence-based learning principles.
  • Create engaging learning materials, including e Learning, facilitator guides, participant resources, job aids, presentations, and micro-learning experiences.
  • Use visual design and storytelling to make complex ideas clear, memorable, and engaging while creating experiences that feel unmistakably Spotify.
  • Build interactive digital learning experiences using AI-assisted workflows and authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Design inclusive learning experiences that reflect different perspectives, reduce barriers to participation, and support a culture of belonging.
  • Pilot and iterate on learning experiences using learner feedback, stakeholder input, and performance data.
  • Define meaningful measures of success and evaluate learning effectiveness, knowledge transfer, learner experience, and behavior change.
  • Manage multiple learning projects from initial scoping through delivery while creating clarity around priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Explore emerging approaches in learning design, including AI-assisted authoring and adaptive learning, and apply them where they can meaningfully improve the learner experience.

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of professional instructional design experience and a portfolio demonstrating thoughtful work across multiple learning formats.
  • You apply learning science principles such as cognitive load, retrieval practice, spaced learning, and adult learning theory to practical design decisions.
  • You know how to uncover learning and performance needs, translate them into measurable objectives, and design learning journeys that build knowledge and skills over time.
  • You create meaningful practice through scenarios, simulations, assessments, and other interactive experiences rather than relying on passive content.
  • You have strong visual and UX design judgment and understand how typography, hierarchy, layout, and visual storytelling can make learning clearer and easier to navigate.
  • You have experience with rapid authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, Lectora, or similar platforms, along with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent.
  • You can create clear storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, and supporting materials that help others confidently deliver consistent learning experiences.
  • You use learner feedback and data to evaluate effectiveness, iterate on your work, and connect learning experiences to meaningful outcomes.
  • You communicate complex ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with subject-matter experts, leaders, and cross-functional partners.
  • You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing multiple priorities, and taking ownership from an early idea through a polished learning experience.
  • You bring experience in areas such as inclusive learning design, leadership development, learning technology, short-form learning video or animation, LMS/LXP platforms, or SCORM/x API.
  • You have a degree in instructional design, learning sciences, education, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Where You'll Be
  • This role is based in London or Stockholm
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
