Responsibilities

  • Build trusted technical partnerships with strategic hardware manufacturers, including companies developing connected audio products.
  • Lead technical integration projects from planning through launch, helping partners successfully adopt Spotify's Core Playback SDK.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product and cross-functional teams to align priorities, remove blockers and deliver high-quality partner experiences.
  • Drive technical discussions, architecture reviews, workshops and implementation planning with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Write clear technical proposals, RFCs and design documentation that help engineering teams make informed decisions.
  • Monitor project health, proactively identify risks and coordinate solutions across multiple engineering teams.
  • Investigate and resolve complex SDK, API and integration challenges, contributing code when appropriate.
  • Help improve the tools, processes and developer experience that enable partners to build with Spotify more effectively.
  • Contribute to the long-term evolution of Spotify's hardware platform by identifying opportunities to simplify integrations and scale partner success.

Who You Are

  • You have a strong foundation in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • You have 5+ years of experience working in software engineering, partner engineering, developer relations, solutions engineering, or a similar technical role.
  • You are experienced with software development, SDKs, APIs, distributed systems or embedded technologies.
  • You can comfortably read, understand, and contribute to production code while discussing technical architecture with engineers and technical partners.
  • You have experience working across organizational boundaries and building strong relationships with both engineering teams and external partners.
  • You know how to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and keep complex technical initiatives moving forward.
  • You communicate technical concepts clearly, adapting your approach for different audiences without losing technical depth.
  • Experience with consumer electronics, connected devices, smart home products, audio platforms or hardware certification is valuable.
  • Experience writing technical specifications, architecture proposals or RFCs is an advantage.

Where You'll Be

This role is based in Stockholm. We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
