From initiative tracking to dependency management and collaborative planning, Groove helps teams stay aligned and execute with confidence.
We're a small, cross-functional engineering team focused on building thoughtful tools that reduce friction and help people do their best work.
Build and evolve Groove, a fullstack platform that supports planning, collaboration, and execution across Spotify.
Design and deliver features including initiative tracking, planning workflows, and dependency management.
Work across the stack using React, Type Script, Java, Graph QL, Postgre SQL, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to build end-to-end solutions.
Ensure reliability through testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement in production.
Participate in an on-call rotation and help respond to production incidents when needed.
Improve the performance, scalability, and maintainability of frontend and backend systems.
Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining ownership of quality, correctness, and outcomes.
Help define and evolve architecture across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
You have 5+ years of experience building scalable fullstack applications in production environments.
You are comfortable working across frontend and backend technologies and understand how they fit together to create reliable products.
You have experience with APIs, distributed systems, and modern web application architecture.
You take ownership of the software you build, from implementation through production health and ongoing improvements.
You use AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and validate outputs with sound engineering judgment.
You navigate ambiguity with confidence and make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
You enjoy mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and helping teammates grow.
There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
