Spotify is looking for an exceptional Social Marketing Manager to lead our social marketing efforts across the UK and Ireland, while providing strategic oversight and guidance for the Netherlands market. We're seeking a social-first marketer with a deep passion for music culture, audience behaviour, and storytelling — someone who can think strategically while also driving day-to-day execution across channels. You bring a proven track record of developing impactful social strategies, creating culturally resonant content, and building engaged communities. You understand platform dynamics, know how to identify opportunities within emerging trends, and can translate audience insights into compelling campaigns that drive engagement, growth, and brand affinity.

In this role, you'll collaborate across Marketing, Music, Podcasts, Audiobooks, PR & Communications, Artist Partnerships, and local market teams to bring Spotify to life for fans across multiple markets. You'll help position Spotify at the center of culture, connecting audiences with the artists, creators, and experiences they love.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the planning and execution of a dynamic social media content strategy for the UK and Ireland, leveraging platforms to build community, spark conversation, and increase brand engagement with relevant audiences.
  • Identify trends, optimise content for each platform, and collaborate with influencers and creators to expand reach.
  • Manage our key agency partner fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability. Ensure high-quality execution that aligns with the brand’s vision and strategic goals.
  • Optimise with the use of paid media.
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction for the Netherlands social marketing, ensuring alignment with broader global brand strategy, sharing best practices, and supporting cross-market campaign activations.
  • Participate in the adaptation, creation and execution of innovative, multi-channel marketing campaigns that amplify our brand, content, and partnerships across all three markets.
  • Collaborate closely with our Music and Podcast team to ensure that all content created for our brand is culturally relevant and adheres to our channel guidelines.
  • Develop a keen understanding of the local music community, industry and fans, particularly the nuances of UK and Irish music culture, audience sensibilities, and social behaviour.
  • Define and strengthen our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Develop culturally resonant campaigns and initiatives that reflect our commitment to diversity, music discovery, and audience connection.
  • Build and nurture relationships with creators and relevant players in the UK and Irish cultural landscape to expand the platform’s reach.
  • Harness data insights to drive engagement with key audience segments, especially Gen Z.
  • Analyse marketing performance metrics to measure ROI, identify opportunities, and optimise campaigns.
  • Stay dialled in to social sentiment and report trends to key stakeholders.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging platforms, and audience behaviour to adapt strategies as needed.
  • Lead on social roll out across live experiences and hero campaigns across both paid and organic.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years in social marketing, ideally within the music, entertainment, or content industries.
  • A strong sense of brand identity and creative vision, with the ability to present and advocate for ideas effectively.
  • Deep knowledge of UK social media culture and audience behaviour — including an understanding of how UK and Irish consumers engage with content across platforms, the cultural moments and conversations that resonate.
  • Demonstrable experience managing social channels for a market, with a clear grasp of regional differences in content preference, platform usage, and engagement patterns.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong, trusting, and transparent working relationships at all levels of an organisation.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, managing tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and real-time decision-making with ease.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented, with a collaborative mindset to navigate ambiguity and evolving situations effectively.
  • Well-versed in the music industry, including emerging trends, influential artists, and cultural movements, particularly within UK and Irish music scenes.
  • Experience working across international markets or with culturally diverse teams; experience with or knowledge of the Netherlands or Benelux market is a plus.
  • A genuine passion for music, coupled with a strong awareness of cultural trends and dynamics.
