We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and evolution of Encore, Spotify's design system. In this role, you'll define the vision and roadmap for the design infrastructure that powers product development across the company. You'll work at the intersection of design, engineering, accessibility, and artificial intelligence, ensuring that our systems are built not only for the people using them today, but also for the AI-assisted workflows shaping how software will be built tomorrow. This is a senior individual contributor role requiring strategic thinking, strong product judgment, and the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives through influence. You'll partner closely with engineering, design, research, and leadership to align priorities, make thoughtful trade-offs, and drive measurable outcomes across Spotify's product ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • Define and drive the long-term product strategy and roadmap for Encore, including design tokens, component libraries, accessibility standards, and AI-powered capabilities.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, accessibility, and platform teams to evolve the systems that enable product teams to deliver high-quality user experiences consistently and efficiently.
  • Lead prioritization across multiple initiatives, balancing immediate customer needs with long-term platform investments while clearly communicating trade-offs and rationale to stakeholders.
  • Champion the use of AI throughout the product development lifecycle, leveraging AI-powered tools to synthesize research, explore solutions, draft product artifacts, accelerate decision-making, and improve team productivity.
  • Shape Spotify's strategy for AI-enabled design tooling, identifying opportunities where AI can meaningfully improve design workflows, component quality, documentation, and adoption across both human and AI consumers.
  • Establish meaningful success metrics for platform adoption, design quality, accessibility, and developer experience, using both quantitative and qualitative insights to guide investment decisions.
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear execution plans that keep cross-functional teams aligned, focused, and delivering against shared outcomes.
  • Build trusted partnerships across Spotify, helping teams successfully adopt Encore while continuously improving the platform based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and accountability across the teams contributing to Spotify's design infrastructure.

Who You Are

  • You have 6+ years of experience in Product Management, with significant experience building platform, infrastructure, developer platform, or design systems products.
  • You have successfully defined product strategy for complex, cross-functional initiatives involving platform adoption, migrations, or large-scale technical investments.
  • You use AI tools as a natural part of your product management practice, applying them to research, analysis, documentation, synthesis, prototyping, and decision support while exercising thoughtful human judgment.
  • You have strong analytical skills and experience defining product metrics, interpreting data, and using evidence to inform product strategy and prioritization.
  • You understand the principles behind design systems, accessibility, design tokens, semantic components, and modern design tooling, or you're excited to deepen your expertise in these areas.
  • You communicate complex ideas with clarity, adapting your approach to engineers, designers, executives, and cross-functional partners alike.
  • You know how to influence without authority, bringing alignment across multiple teams with differing priorities.
  • You care deeply about building products that enable others to do their best work, raising the quality, consistency, and accessibility of experiences across Spotify.
  • You thrive in ambiguous environments, bringing curiosity, sound judgment, and a bias toward thoughtful execution.
