Spotify is looking for a commercially minded FP&A Manager to serve as the dedicated finance partner for our Distribution Partnerships team.
Distribution Partnerships play an important role in Spotify's growth strategy by working with strategic partners to expand user acquisition, deepen engagement, and improve retention through innovative distribution and marketing initiatives.
In this role, you'll build the financial foundations that help shape partnership decisions.
You'll develop robust business cases, subscriber models, and end-to-end P&L analyses that connect user growth with business outcomes.
You'll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, challenge assumptions, and provide insights that help leaders make confident, data-informed decisions.
What You'll Do
- Lead business case development for Distribution Partnerships by building investment models that combine subscriber forecasts, partnership economics, and full P&L impact.
- Develop financial frameworks that evaluate new and existing partnerships, including lifetime value, payback periods, return on investment, and other key performance metrics.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks that inform partnership strategy and investment decisions.
- Partner closely with Distribution Partnerships, Accounting, Business Affairs, Legal, Strategy, and other cross-functional teams to translate financial insights into clear recommendations for business and senior leaders.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve reporting for the partnership portfolio, including KPIs, performance tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and ongoing financial planning activities by partnering with business leaders to establish data-driven targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and tooling to help Spotify evaluate and manage partnerships more effectively.
Who You Are
- You have 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategy & Analytics, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or a similar analytical role.
Experience in a consumer subscription business is a plus.
- You have experience building sophisticated financial models and performing scenario analysis in environments with evolving information and changing priorities.
- You know how to translate commercial agreements into meaningful financial outcomes and have experience partnering with Legal, Business Affairs, commercial, or deal teams.
- You are comfortable working with large datasets. Experience with SQL is preferred, and you are interested in applying AI tools to improve financial analysis and decision-making.
- You balance strong attention to detail with sound judgment, knowing when additional analysis will meaningfully improve a decision and when it is time to move forward.
- You manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a high standard of quality in a fast-moving environment.
- You are naturally curious and enjoy exploring problems beyond the initial question to uncover insights that create business value.
- You communicate complex financial concepts clearly and tailor your recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
