Security engineers at Spotify protect the security of Spotify’s platform and of our 700+ million users. We are looking for an experienced engineer to join us in securing the most important engineering initiatives at Spotify. We are looking for a backend software engineer to join our security compliance engineering team. We are hiring engineers who are enthusiastic about security and compliance, and who enjoy transforming large, complex problems into actionable, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design products, services, and infrastructure that support and strengthen our technical security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) strategy.
- Build infrastructure and tooling that apply regulatory requirements and security framework controls across our distributed environment.
- Help drive scalable and consistent engineering practices that address security, risk, and compliance requirements.
Who You Are
- You are an experienced software engineer with development experience in an object-oriented programming language such as Java, and you are comfortable with data engineering.
- You have experience writing distributed, high-volume services and know how to deploy and operate them in production.
- You have a deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high quality code.
- You have hands-on experience implementing security controls and safeguards in software systems, working within cybersecurity and security GRC frameworks.
- You love working in an environment where you frequently discuss technical requirements and iterate quickly.
- You are passionate about information security governance, risk and compliance.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including extensive experience meeting and presenting to senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
Where You'll Be
This role is based in London or Stockholm. We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
