This is a great opportunity to join Spotify’s growing Ads Business Development Team! We are looking for an outstanding candidate to lead Platform and Agency adoption of our API products. You will lead the full sales cycle with target companies and agencies, manage contractual negotiations. Lead the management of cross functional stakeholders to ensure the launch of partnerships through timely product integrations, GTM and Sales Enablement across all markets. This role will help Spotify scale & optimize API adoption and drive revenue through these channels across Spotify’s global advertising business.

We are in search of a candidate that has a proven track record of leading partnerships across Self Serve platforms and/or Agencies. They will have an understanding of the technical and commercial requirements for SMB, API and Agency partners and performance marketers. You will have a genuine curiosity to understand and identify new strategic partnerships relevant to Spotify’s business which can drive growth. In addition, you’ll have experience executing deals and working cross functionally with different stakeholders. We want someone who loves our product and has the curiosity to learn more about the nuances of adtech.

What You'll Do
  • Identify and lead API and Self Serve partnerships, inclusive of deal management, across the global advertising organization.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders in Legal, Technical Accounting, Business Operations, Marketing and FP&A to advance and ensure deal success.
  • Capture and quantify product feedback from existing and prospective partners to advise product roadmap and prioritization.
  • Strengthen our local presence and provide local support in a timely and proactive manner with key Spotify stakeholders.
  • Serve as the external facing POC for partners that want to build into Spotify’s API ecosystem.
  • Responsible for the management and development of the current Associate Manager which will support this role.
  • Work in a highly cross-functional environment with teams across Legal, Finance, Product, Marketing and Sales.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and in-country sales leads to develop Spotify’s Advertising’s go-to-market approaches across the API & SMB landscape.
  • Proactively identify, pitch and scale new opportunities for the API & SMB verticals.
  • Develop innovative product use cases with partners to unlock new or incremental advertiser demand.
  • Analyze competitors and the market to recommend new partnership opportunities.
Who You Are
  • You have a min of 8+ years of experience focused in business development in the Advertising or ad tech industry.
  • You have proven experience growing and nurturing relationships with top brands, platforms or media organizations.
  • You have a technical understanding of ad-serving integrations and/or APIs.
  • You are comfortable collaborating with both highly technical and non-technical internal and external partners.
  • You have experience working cross-functionally across highly matrix organizations.
  • You have experience working closely with legal teams including but not limited to MSAs, amendments and renewals.
  • You are a creative problem solver able to transform new partner and advertiser ideas & use cases into business opportunities.
  • You can operate in ambiguity and navigate a large, global organization.
Where You'll Be

This role is based in London, UK. We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come in 2-3 times per week.
