A Freelance Motion Designer / Video Editor is needed to join Spot, a modern flat fee recruitment partner helping startups and growing businesses hire properly without expensive agency fees or clunky DIY hiring tech. Based remotely, this is a project based engagement to produce a premium 60 second explainer video for our own brand. We already have the script, storyboard direction and brand assets in place. What we need is someone who can translate that into a sharp, modern, SaaS quality visual story.
Spot combines real recruiters, automation and clean hiring tech. We work with founders and scaling teams who want clarity, pace and quality in their hiring process. Our brand reflects that. It is minimal, confident and considered. This video needs to feel the same.
This is not a cartoon explainer. It is not a template driven slideshow. And it is not a whiteboard style animation.
We are looking for a clean, modern SaaS aesthetic:
- Strong typography
- Controlled motion
- Abstract UI elements rather than literal screenshots
- Smart pacing
- Subtle detail
- Premium execution throughout
The finished output will sit at the front of our brand and marketing, so design judgement matters as much as animation skill.
Deliverables include:
- A 60 second explainer video
- British English voiceover
- Music with subtle sound design
- 1080p export
- Subtitles with SRT file
- Fully editable source files
To qualify:
- You should be a Motion Designer, Motion Graphics Designer, Video Editor or similar with a portfolio that demonstrates:
- Clear experience producing modern SaaS or startup explainer content
- Strong typography and layout capability
- Confidence animating abstract UI and clean motion systems
- A restrained, premium visual style
- The ability to manage a defined project and deliver to deadline
We are not looking for whiteboard videos, clip art animation, heavy cartoon styles or generic template explainers.
In return, you'll work directly with our founders on a clearly defined brief with strong creative direction, flexible remote working and genuine potential for ongoing collaboration across future brand and product campaigns.
To apply, please send relevant portfolio examples, one or two projects closest to this style, your fixed price quote and estimated turnaround time.
