A Safety Installer / Safety Technician (Height Safety Systems Installer) is needed to join Safesite, a Crawley based leader in height safety. Expect a hands-on role carrying out the installation of fall protection products on sites primarily across the Southern UK, with occasional overnight stays required. With full product training available, this role is open to applications from candidates with transferrable practical skills gained from similar industries or environments. Due to the nature of site attendance and team logistics, we are ideally looking for candidates based within approximately 40 minutes of Crawley.
Founded in 1991, Safesite are one of the oldest and most respected Height Safety specialists in the UK. Working across virtually every business sector, they are pioneers of the industry implementing best practice safety solutions, many of which are products that have been purposely developed. Due to ongoing expansion, they now require additional Safety Installers / Height Safety Technicians to install, inspect and modify fall protection products on site throughout the UK.
As a Safety Installer / Safety Technician expect a varied workload which includes:
- Installation and commissioning of a wide range of all Fall Protection Products and solutions
- Repairs and modifications to systems
- Recertification
- Training of clients on installed products
- PPE inspections
- Any other related duties
Key Requirements:
- A background in on-site technical inspection / installation background (ideally fall protection)
- Team player whilst also happy to work on your own
- Good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE/O-Level standard)
- A strong work ethic and a problem-solving outlook
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work at height
- A full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to Travel (primarily within the Southern UK, with occasional overnight stays)
Additional security screening may be required, e.g. DBS check.
