A Safety Technician / Height Safety Installer is needed to join Mantech Safety Systems, a specialist provider of fall protection solutions delivering installation, inspection and compliance services across the UK. Based in Bridgwater, Somerset, with extensive UK travel, this is a hands-on role installing and commissioning fall protection systems on live client sites. Ideally you will be South West based, but this is not essential. What matters most is experience, reliability and the ability to work confidently at height.
Mantech is a small, close-knit team at an exciting stage of growth. With increasing demand and ambitious expansion plans, they are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and become a trusted part of the business as it scales.
As Safety Technician, you will carry out the installation and commissioning of fall protection systems, primarily Kee Safety products, across commercial and industrial sites. You will also complete repairs, modifications and recertification work, identifying non-compliant systems and producing clear inspection reports and plans.
This is a customer-facing role. You will liaise with site teams and clients, deliver product training where required, carry out PPE inspections and represent the business professionally at all times. You will stay in close contact with the Contracts team while on site and take pride in maintaining high safety and reporting standards. There is also scope to identify and flag additional sales opportunities while on site.
To qualify:
- Proven experience working at height in a construction or safety environment
- Hands-on installation experience with fall protection systems, ideally Kee Safety
- Strong understanding of health and safety on live sites
- Experience with inspection and recertification of systems
- Clear communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
- NVQ Level 3 in Fall Protection, or willingness to complete
- Full UK Driving Licence
The role involves regular UK travel and overnight stays. Flexibility is essential. As the team grows, territories will become more defined, but for now this is a national role supporting a busy and ambitious business.
You must be punctual, self-motivated and comfortable working independently. With a small team, prior experience in fall protection is strongly preferred, although product-specific training is provided within the role.
In return, you will receive a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, company benefits, and the opportunity to join a growing specialist at a pivotal stage.
