At Funky Pigeon, we help people say it better – and we’re looking for a part‑time Buyer's Assistant to play a key part in bringing our ranges to life. You’ll work closely with the Category Manager/Buyer and be involved across the full buying journey in cards and personalised gifting. It’s a hands‑on role where organisation, curiosity, and attention to detail really count. From helping new products land smoothly to keeping a close eye on performance and suppliers, you’ll have a real impact on how our ranges show up for customers. What you'll be doing:
- Support the day‑to‑day running of our buying activity across cards and personalised gifting, managing product and supplier set‑up.
- Help deliver successful range launches and ensure everything looks and performs as it should online.
- Dig into data and insights to support range reviews.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal teams, stay on top of admin, and use market insight to help shape commercial decisions.
Qualifications:
- Some experience as a Buying Assistant or similar commercial role.
- Interest in retail, products, and delivering a great customer experience online.
- Strong interest in trends and design, especially within the gifting and cards space.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks at once.
- Comfortable working with numbers and sales data, and using insights to spot opportunities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (especially Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides); experience of Miro and Monday.com is a nice bonus.
- Proactive, positive team player with a creative mindset who enjoys problem‑solving and getting stuck in.
