About the role

This role is to lead the athletic development sessions of the women’s first team. Position requires to work alongside technical and medical staff to deliver all aspects of Sports Science/ Strength and Conditioning.

  • Provide professional physical performance support for all registered Lionesses first team squad in line with the physical department’s physical syllabus.
  • In association with the Lionesses technical staff, organise the weekly training plans and long-term programmes.
  • Ensure Sports Science & S&C provision including on-pitch athletic development session plans, gym sessions, physical testing and growth & maturation testing are uploaded into the appropriate data bases within 24 hours.
  • Ensure testing and monitoring practices are consistently implemented and evaluated to inform practice.
  • Educate technical staff to ensure maintenance of age-appropriate best practice.
  • Program and deliver all gym, rehab, and pitch-based sessions.
  • To contribute to players reviews and audits to assess performance and potential.
  • To monitor growth and maturation and implement appropriate strategies to aid player development and maximise availability.
