About the Role

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of individualised gym-based programmes, including pre-training preparation, strength, and power sessions.
  • Support the delivery, monitoring, and adjustment of field-based conditioning sessions aligned to individual player profiles and training load data.
  • Deliver pre-training preparation sessions to optimise training performance.
  • Contribute to recovery strategies using evidence-based approaches.
  • Assist with physical testing, monitoring, and data collection for first team and rehab players.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date performance data records.
  • Support the design and delivery of rehab and return-to-play conditioning programmes.
  • Assist with training load monitoring, profiling, and data analysis.
  • Communicate performance insights effectively to the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Support matchday preparation and on-field conditioning sessions where required.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning, or a related field.
  • Proven experience within a physical performance or elite sport environment.
  • Strong understanding of strength & conditioning principles in professional football.
  • Experience using performance technology (GPS, internal load monitoring, VBT, force platforms).
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proactive mindset with a commitment to high professional standards.
  • UKSCA or CASES accreditation.
  • MSc (or higher) in Sports Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience using data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau).
