What you will be getting up to: We are looking to hire a Junior Engineer to join our global team in Technology. This is a challenging, fast-paced and exciting environment, with plenty of opportunities to influence and grow the technology area.
The Junior Security Engineer role provides foundational support in maintaining and improving our security posture, from maintaining and improving our WAF to help running PoCs that will improve the security in this company. This entry-level position is ideal for someone early in their security journey who is eager to learn, grow and contribute within a collaborative, agile engineering team.
The Junior Engineer will work under the guidance of more senior team members, gaining hands-on experience with cloud platforms, automation, vulnerability management, IAM platform as well as CDNs and WAF. A strong willingness to learn, good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Security Engineering is an internal platform team focused on building and improving systems to bolster security of the company, both external and internal. Our team’s first target will be improving host security as well as securing access to our domains. The primary goal of Security Engineering is to improve the overall security for our domains as well as work on technical debt.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and assist in the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Support the day-to-day monitoring and supportability of security platforms, focusing on learning about stability and performance.
- Shadow and collaborate with Mid and Senior-level Engineers to understand root cause analysis, incident response workflows, and resolution processes.
- Participate and contribute in PIR (post incident reviews) sessions by documenting findings and assisting with follow-up actions.
- Participate in writing and maintaining documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and architectural diagrams.
- Develop awareness of the importance of non-functional requirements such as monitoring, alerting, and logging.
- Take pride in delivering quality work and demonstrate a willingness to grow and contribute to the team’s success.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 0–2 years of experience in any Security engineering or Security operations role.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and any Firewall/WAF technologies.
- Exposure to security tools (Nessus) and SIEM technologies like Kibana, Splunk.
- Enthusiastic about learning security fundamentals and hands-on tools.
- Awareness of CI/CD concepts and basic infrastructure principles.
- Hands-on exposure with any XDR or NextGen AV platforms and solutions.
- Understanding of secure coding principles and OWASP Top 10.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Practical knowledge of the Linux operating system for effective troubleshooting activities.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities, with responsibility and proactivity in seeking support or clarifications.
- Some exposure to any of the following is a plus: Identity platforms like Okta or Azure AD, Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD tools/processes such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, Observability tools like Prometheus or Grafana, DNS monitoring such as Umbrella DNS.
