Based at Glenmore Lodge, Aviemore, sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland. Our vision is an active Scotland where everyone benefits from sport. Our goal is to be inclusive by design.
Are you adaptable, enjoy working both indoors and outdoors, and keen to develop your skills in a busy, supportive environment? This may be the role for you!
We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Assistant to help deliver a high-quality, efficient and customer-focused service at Glenmore Lodge. This varied role involves working predominantly within facilities from mid-April to the end of November, before supporting the stores team over the winter months to meet the demands of a busy course schedule.
As part of the facilities team, you’ll be involved in:
- Grounds maintenance (including grass cutting, window cleaning, general upkeep, and site tidying)
- Light repairs
- Supporting the smooth running of the centre
Training on plant, machinery, and tools will be provided. You’ll also interact regularly with contractors, customers, and colleagues, so strong communication skills and a professional approach are essential.
During the winter, you’ll work closely with our knowledgeable stores team, helping to organise and issue kit for courses, maintain stock records, and support the ongoing care and lifecycle of equipment.
Experience in a customer service environment and a practical understanding of outdoor equipment are desirable, but training will be provided for the right candidate. The role also involves occasional minibus drop-offs; a D1 licence is desirable, but training can be arranged if required.
How to apply: Please apply online and attach your CV and covering letter detailing why you meet the requirements, by the closing date of 12 May 2026.
