About Sports Marketing Group (SMG): The Sports Marketing Group (SMG) is a vibrant sports marketing agency with a creative edge, with offices in London and Dubai. As a full-service sports marketing agency, SMG works with some of the world's leading sports organisations, events, teams and talent. SMG believes that every sporting event, series or team has its own distinctive character and special story to tell, and we take great pride in helping our clients communicate their respective stories to a global audience. SMG aims to deliver the highest level of quality in all its work using a flexible, tailored and modern approach dedicated to the unique needs of each client.
We are looking for a self-motivated and creative Partnerships Executive to join our growing team and play a central role in how we identify, develop and present partnership opportunities for some of the world's most exciting sports properties. The role sits at the intersection of insight, ideas and commercial storytelling - supporting our partnerships team with research and ideation across the full brand partnership cycle, while also conducting their own outreach to prospective brand partners. This is a perfect fit for a self-starter with a proactive attitude, a genuine curiosity about brands and sport and the ambition to build their role within a fast-growing agency. The role offers real 360-degree involvement across both established and modern sports properties - from shaping the initial idea through to helping bring a partnership to life.
The Role: SMG is looking to hire a Partnerships Executive to support the ideation, development and commercial delivery of brand partnerships across the SMG business. The role is as much about creative thinking and insight generation as it is about commercial outreach - we are looking for someone who can turn data into compelling stories, and compelling stories into partnerships.
Role Requirements:
- Lead on partnership ideation, developing creative campaign concepts and brand narratives that demonstrate the value of sport sponsorship to prospective partners.
- Use audience data, industry research and brand analysis to build actionable insights that justify partnership investments and inform commercial strategy.
- Support the development of high-quality partnership sales decks and follow-up materials in Keynote and PowerPoint, bringing together data, creative thinking and commercial logic into compelling presentations.
- Work proficiently in Microsoft Excel to analyse and visualise data, turning research findings into clear, persuasive insights for both internal and client-facing use.
- Support the commercial team in identifying target industry sectors, brands and the right individuals to approach.
- Conduct direct outreach to prospective brand partners to open new conversations on behalf of SMG's rights holder clients.
- Stay across sport industry news, trends and cultural moments to generate insights that add value to SMG's broader project work.
- Support on ad-hoc partnerships projects as and when the business requires.
What We're Looking For:
- A creative mindset with the ability to craft compelling brand stories and partnership narratives.
- Comfort working with data and translating numbers into clear commercial arguments.
- Proficiency in Keynote and/or PowerPoint, with an eye for design and presentation quality.
- Strong written communication skills - both for outreach and for building sales materials.
- Genuine enthusiasm for sport, brands and the intersection between the two.
- A proactive, organised approach and the confidence to take initiative in a fast-moving environment.
Benefits:
- Positive and personable company culture.
- Flexible part-time working arrangement.
- 25 days annual leave (pro rata).
- Opportunity to grow in a fast growing company.
- Visibility / experience working with other facets of the business (PR, Social).
