The gaming studio behind Football Manager, founded in ****, Sports Interactive became a wholly owned subsidiary of SEGA Europe in ****. Based at the Here East technology hub in Stratford, East London, the SI team continues to expand as we bring our titles to an ever-growing audience across an increasing variety of platforms.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and strategic Senior Community Manager to lead the next phase of Football Manager's global community engagement. As a public face of our brand, you will represent the studio online, interacting with and building strong relationships with our community. In this leadership role, you'll be the connective tissue between our community and teams across the studio - championing player perspectives always. You'll play a key role in bridging different community pockets across regions, channels, and player types. You'll also collaborate closely with our Content team, ensuring community initiatives are seamlessly integrated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global community strategy that connects, grows and sustains our player base across platforms and regions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the existing Community team responsible for player-facing channels and touchpoints.
  • Serve as the voice of the community internally, representing player perspectives to development, publishing and leadership teams.
  • Build structured feedback pipelines that collect insights across owned channels, surveys, social listening, and broader online touchpoints, translating them into actionable reports for design and development teams.
  • Establish clear goals and monitor KPIs around engagement, retention, sentiment and community health to inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with design, production and QA to facilitate player testing programmes that help inform game improvements.
  • Partner closely with the Social Media team to ensure cohesive messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with development, marketing and player support teams to ensure key updates, patches and news are clearly communicated.
  • Advise internal teams on community sentiment, trends and opportunities for proactive engagement.
  • Audit and optimise community channels (e.g. Forum) to improve accessibility, engagement and moderation quality.
  • Plan and execute both in-person and online community events.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Significant community management experience in gaming, entertainment, or live-service products.
  • Proven experience leading community initiatives at scale.
  • Strong understanding of player psychology, online culture, and digital community ecosystems.
  • Excellent communicator, with a proven ability to translate player feedback and sentiment into clear, actionable insights for internal teams.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with development, social media, and marketing teams.
  • Skilled in using analytics and community tools (Discord, Reddit, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Sprout Social etc.) to inform strategy.
  • Familiarity with live games, updates, and player feedback cycles.
  • Deep passion for Football Manager.
  • Strong background in community content strategy / creator partnerships – or perhaps you are / have been a creator yourself.
  • Experience hosting livestreams, AMAs, or community broadcasts.
  • Multilingual or experience managing international communities.
