Company Description

We\’re the world\’s leading sports technology company, at the intersection between sports, media, and betting. More than 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators, and consumer platforms across 120 countries rely on our know-how and technology to boost their business.

Job Description

Role Summary

We are looking for a strategically minded and technically fluent Product Manager to lead the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) – a core enabler of our engineering velocity, consistency, and quality. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on understanding developer pain points, shaping solutions that scale, and aligning deeply with the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC). You\’ll work across technical, product, and organisational domains to shape a platform that empowers our engineering teams to build and ship software faster, safer, and with greater autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision
    • Define and evolve the IDP product vision, aligned with both developer needs and business enablement outcomes.
    • Work closely with the Tech Lead to co-own the roadmap, ensuring it is technically sound, scalable, and focused on long-term value.
  • SDLC Awareness & Mapping
    • Deeply understand the Software Delivery Lifecycle (planning, coding, building, testing, releasing, deploying, operating, monitoring).
    • Identify optimisation opportunities at each SDLC stage, using best practices and modern platform thinking.
    • Work with teams to map existing services from the service catalogue to the relevant SDLC stages, uncovering overlaps, gaps, and underutilised assets.
    • Drive simplification and standardisation of tooling and processes, reducing complexity and cognitive load for developers.
  • Discovery & Decision-Making
    • Facilitate developer-facing workshops and feedback sessions to uncover workflow bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or unmet needs.
    • Translate findings into clear product decisions: whether to extend existing solutions, build new ones, or adapt processes to meet needs.
    • Evaluate options based on fit-for-purpose, cost, and long-term scalability.
  • Roadmap & Prioritisation
    • Own a transparent and evolving roadmap informed by developer input, platform maturity goals, and strategic alignment.
    • Prioritise initiatives that balance immediate developer pain relief with foundational capability building.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication
    • Align diverse stakeholder groups (developers, engineering managers, platform engineers, senior leadership) around goals and trade-offs.
    • Present platform value clearly to senior audiences, translating technical improvements into business-relevant outcomes.
  • Execution & Adoption
    • Partner with engineering teams to scope and deliver initiatives; ensure clarity on definitions, outcomes, and KPIs.
    • Support onboarding and rollout of new platform features, ensuring adoption and gathering post-launch feedback loops.
  • Data-Driven Insight
    • Use a combination of qualitative insight and lightweight metrics to assess value, track adoption, and shape roadmap direction.
    • Continuously assess usage and developer satisfaction, feeding insight back into delivery and planning.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Owner, ideally in a platform engineering, DevOps, or developer tooling context.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle, including pain points, optimisation opportunities, and best practices at each stage.
  • Ability to map existing tools and services to SDLC stages, identify duplication or gaps, and suggest pragmatic consolidation or expansion strategies.
  • Excellent workshop facilitation, synthesis, and prioritisation skills—comfortable extracting themes and translating them into roadmap items.
  • Strong communicator—able to tailor messaging for developers, platform teams, and SVP/Director-level stakeholders.
  • Experience evaluating whether to extend existing in-house solutions, develop new ones, or adapt processes to meet platform and user needs.
  • Solid grounding in developer workflows (e.g. Git, CI/CD, containerisation, cloud-native development).
  • Background in software development or engineering is highly preferred.

Desirable

  • Experience working with internal developer portals, service catalogues, and golden path initiatives.
  • Exposure to platform simplification efforts, including tooling rationalisation or process standardisation at scale.
  • Familiarity with usage telemetry, developer feedback loops, or internal platform evangelism strategies.
