ABOUT US: Sportradar (NASDAQ:SRAD) is a fast-growing sports technology company in a critical phase of its development. The Corporate Development Analyst will play a vital role in the next chapter of growth for the company, supporting with analysing, evaluating and executing inorganic growth initiatives across all areas of the business while working with the Director Corporate Development and SVP Corporate Development.
THE CHALLENGE:
- Execute M&A projects along full spectrum of the deal lifecycle:
- Lead key operational aspects of the end-to-end M&A process, including Q& tracking, VDR and DRL management, financial model compilation, process structure and organization
- Work alongside internal and external teams to deliver:
- Pre-DD assessment, LoI structuring and negotiation
- DD, transaction structuring and documentation
- Investment committee / Board approval processes (incl. drafting presentations)
- First phase post-acquisition work
- Collaborate across functions with peers in operational teams to successfully execute M&A projects
- Compile relevant reporting to senior management and board committees
- Support in the implementation of a group-wide M&A framework, incl. (i) M&A idea generation and cultivation, and (ii) M&A execution
- (i) M&A idea generation and cultivation
- Implement and refine group-wide idea generation and cultivation routine, incl. standards for the inclusion of new opportunities into a pipeline; update, prioritize and progress opportunities as well; assist teams in structured market analyses and screening exercises
- Refine and generate relevant M&A dashboards to be used for status and progress reporting vis-à-vis different stakeholder groups
- (ii) M&A execution
- Develop and use best-in-class M&A process templates, incl. NDAs, LoIs, Term-Sheets, SPAs, investment case summaries
- Support in defining standards for each of the relevant business functions within the SR Group incl. technology & engineering, product, sales, HR, finance, legal, tax, incl. essential DD IRL, check-lists, DD report templates as well as progress & value creation tracking
General Corporate Development support:
- Act as additional contact for M&A execution topics within the SR Group
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams including external advisors
- Prepare documentation that serve as basis for top management decisions
ABOUT YOU:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related field
- 2-3 years of professional experience working in an M&A position within a fast-paced, highly competitive, and dynamic industry, preferably working as an M&A analyst
- Proven track record of building relationships, delivering large, complex engagement and of successfully managing and guiding multiple, cross-functional teams, business executives and stakeholders
- Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, structured working method and safe handling of research analyses and model tasks in transactional situations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written), experienced on board and senior executive level
- Initiative and drive, critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to travel at least 50% of time as required
