ABOUT US: The business is looking to improve internal controls and governance to support its ongoing phenomenal growth and ambitious plans. The Internal Audit Team sits within Finance and reports directly to the Audit Committee. As an Internal Auditor you will safeguard the current and future economic value of Sportradar, by identifying control risks within the business and examining and evaluating the adequacy of controls to mitigate those risks. We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Internal Audit Management team, the role of the Internal Auditor is to plan, deliver and report internal audit assignments and undertake Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) walkthroughs and testing. We anticipate SOX audits initially occupying 60% of the workload compared to operational audits. Whilst playing a critical role, you will work alongside the business to help transform the control environment by identifying potential risks and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
THE CHALLENGE:
- Conduct business process SOX walkthroughs and testing to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
- Perform various audits across the organization, including financial/operational audits, within cost and time budgets and in accordance with our methodology.
- Identify potential risks and related issues by applying process knowledge acquired and awareness of industry trends.
- Document workpapers, flowcharts and supporting documentation for engagements to ensure high quality deliverables in accordance with IIA Standards and our methodology.
- Support the team in preparing for engagements through extensive planning, and performance of data analysis.
- Support the team in preparing audit reports that concisely articulate the audit findings.
- Provide professional and added value recommendations that consider efficiency and cost effectiveness to the audited areas.
At Sportradar we provide flexible working arrangements and require employees to be in our London office 3 days per week. Due to the global nature of the role; you will be required to have permission to freely travel and it is anticipated that the role could require approximately 20% travel.
ABOUT YOU:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, accounting, finance or related field.
- Professional accounting or internal auditing qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA) required.
- Proven experience in working in a financial position in a similar industry or with a Big 4 company.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues and deal with a variety of high priority and sensitive situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with all employees irrespective of their status in the organization.
