At Sportradar, we’ve experienced a period of sustained hypergrowth through a highly focused strategy based upon providing sport league related data and audio‑visuals to betting operators and media companies worldwide. Within the team you will be responsible for fulfilling all compliance needs from a global tax perspective, such as coordinating advisors in countries worldwide, supporting in‑house teams with direct and indirect tax advice, and reviewing and preparing documentation for SOX, Transfer Pricing and other requirements. The International Tax Director reports to the Global Head of Tax and will be responsible for all day‑to‑day international tax operations and local compliance tasks.

The successful candidate has excellent knowledge of a broad range of taxation, understands different accounting standards, and is accustomed to discussing complex tax matters in English. Additionally, the candidate is experienced in high‑paced environments, successfully adapts to changes, and finds practical solutions that support the company’s needs.

The Challenge

  • Coordinates multiple international advisors on various projects simultaneously, understanding their local challenges without losing the big picture.
  • Understands double‑tax treaty challenges and their withholding tax consequences.
  • Manages transfer pricing compliance and documentation as well as other documentation under SOX control schemes.
  • Understands global direct and indirect taxes and develops business‑oriented solutions.
  • Prioritizes and manages independently a high number of projects simultaneously.

Your Profile

  • Certified Tax Accountant or university degree with a special focus on accounting/taxation is a plus.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in general corporate tax compliance and/or tax advisory, ideally including basic knowledge of payroll taxation.
  • Good understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards.
  • Experience and knowledge of Pillar 2 topics and calculations.
  • Experience with various ERP tools; project experience with implementing new ERP solutions is an advantage.
  • Professional MS Office skills – especially Excel.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Previous Big 4 experience would be a benefit.
