ABOUT US: Sportradar is seeking a B2B German and English-speaking communications expert to manage the delivery of media, betting and sports industry communications in the DACH region for the EMEA team across several priority business areas.

THE CHALLENGE: Working from our office in London, the ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving global organization while communicating complex products and services in a commercially competitive landscape. This is a multi-faceted role requiring an understanding of betting, technology, business and sports business and media in the DACH region and wider EMEA, stakeholder management, and partner coordination, while operating in a hands-on role in order to achieve executional excellence. The role reports into the Senior Director of Communications for UK/EMEA.

ABOUT YOU: Excellent verbal and written/ journalistic skills, with the ability to produce high-quality materials including messaging, press releases, articles, briefing documents, media pitches etc. with great accuracy. Fluent German and English – written and spoken. Proven experience in a communications role, ideally in B2B or tech PR within highly competitive industries such as sports, media, or betting. Knowledge of betting, tech, business and sports business and media, particularly in Germany. B2B or tech PR experience working in a highly commercial environment, demonstrating the ability to discover stories and angles in-house and communicate benefits of business products and services externally. Ability to understand and interpret complex data-led information, translating it into more simple communications messaging, with proof points, for businesses. Demonstrable line management experience, spanning team members new to communications as well as more experienced colleagues. Strong 360-degree media relations skills, including digital, in both pro-active and issues-led situations. Senior stakeholder management experience plus the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and partners. Exceptionally well-organised, diplomatic, and solutions oriented. Strong work ethic – is accountable, works smart and pushes self and others for results. Ability to trouble-shoot issues before they become problematic and quickly adapt to changing requirements. Attention to detail is a must for this role.

DESIRABLE SKILLS, BUT NOT ESSENTIAL: Working knowledge of sports industry and federations. Please note, this is not a sports consumer PR role.
