The Role

We are looking for a passionate and data-driven Research Analyst to join our Strategy & Research team. You’ll play a critical role in tracking industry-wide sponsorship and spending trends across all sports, using data and insights to inform high-impact strategies for some of the most ambitious brands globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse sports sponsorship and spending trends across major sports, leagues, teams, and athletes.
  • Build and maintain datasets that power SportQuake’s strategic recommendations.
  • Identify emerging market movements and brand behaviours to inform client strategies.
  • Utilise CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Salesloft) to track and organise intelligence.
  • Work closely with the Strategy, Partnerships, and New Business teams to deliver insights that drive pipeline growth.
  • Prepare research reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations for internal and external use.
  • Contribute data and insights for SportQuake’s thought leadership and marketing output – from social posts and blogs to in-depth reports.
  • In partnership with the marketing team deliver SportQuake’s proprietary Marketplace analysis (for market sectors such as betting, crypto, and trading). This will include analysing information such as key market movements, spending patterns and key sector trends for example in women’s or esports.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 1-3 years of experience in a research, insights, or strategy role ideally within sport, marketing, media, or sponsorship.
  • A strong understanding of sports business and marketing ecosystems.
  • Proficient with CRM systems like Salesforce, Salesloft and HubSpot.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to transform data into strategic insights.
  • Expert in Excel, comfortable building reports and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
