Role Overview
As a Logistics Lead, you will be the heartbeat of our supply chain, ensuring the seamless flow of goods from factory to warehouse. You will manage the end-to-end Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle, maintain our Critical Path, and act as the primary liaison between global suppliers, freight forwarders, and our 3PL partners. This role requires a blend of analytical precision (Excel/ERP) and assertive communication to keep our timelines on track.
Key Responsibilities
- PO & Critical Path Management
- End-to-End Execution: Own the full PO lifecycle using ERP systems and Excel, ensuring data integrity from creation to delivery.
- Timeline Accountability: Monitor and maintain agreed ex-factory dates in alignment with the Critical Path.
- Supplier Diplomacy: Proactively challenge suppliers when timelines drift and escalate significant risks to senior management.
- Pre-Season Prep: Facilitate supplier onboarding by securing essential documentation (bank details, port locations) to streamline future consolidations.
- Logistics & Compliance
- Documentation Audit: Review and validate high-stakes shipping documents, including Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, BOL, AWB, and SAD.
- Customs Coordination: Prepare customs documentation and approve duty/VAT invoices to ensure smooth clearance and avoid port delays.
- Quality Control: Review and approve barcode and polybag stickers ensuring health & safety compliance and warehouse scanning compliance.
- Inbound Strategy: Upon request, coordinate split shipments and prioritise "Own Brand" POs within the warehouse based on stock requirements.
- Reporting & Communication
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Maintain daily contact with factories, freight forwarders, and 3PL warehouses to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Data Accuracy: Own the "Own Brand" PO tracker and DKU (Distribution Key Unit) tracker, ensuring they are updated in real-time.
- Meeting Facilitation: Lead weekly departmental meetings to discuss new product launches and production statuses.
- Financial Administration: Audit and reconcile freight, sample, and supplier invoices, resolving discrepancies through credit/debit notes.
Requirements
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP systems; familiarity with Trello, Google sheets.
- Agility: Ability to pivot priorities quickly, especially during peak seasonal shifts.
- Attention to Detail: A "right first time" mentality when dealing with complex customs paperwork.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; comfortable being assertive with international vendors to protect delivery dates.
You will be required to attend the London-based office during your first week of employment and at least once per quarter thereafter.
The salary for this role is £30,000 per annum.
