Sporting Kids FC is recruiting two experienced Youth Football Team Managers for the 2026/27 season in Hemel Hempstead.
We are looking for confident, reliable coaches who can take ownership of a grassroots youth team, deliver structured weekly training sessions and lead the team on weekend matchdays.
This role would suit an experienced grassroots manager, qualified football coach or assistant coach who is ready to move into a lead position.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality weekly football training sessions
- Manage and organise the team on matchdays
- Select squads, formations and playing positions
- Communicate professionally with players, parents and club staff
- Monitor individual player development and provide feedback
- Create a positive, disciplined and inclusive team environment
- Complete basic matchday and team administration
- Follow club safeguarding and behaviour policies
- Work alongside the club’s Head Coach and Development Officer
Essential requirements
- At least one season of experience coaching or managing a youth football team
- FA Introduction to Coaching Football, FA Level 1 or equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding of grassroots youth football
- Confident planning and leading sessions independently
- Reliable and available for weekly evening training and weekend fixtures
- Confident communicating with parents
- Good organisation and leadership skills
- Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding requirements
Desirable
- UEFA C qualification or above
- Current enhanced DBS
- Safeguarding Children qualification
- First Aid in Football qualification
- Driving licence and access to transport
- Experience working with players aged 8–15
