Ampere works with an extensive client base spanning major broadcasters, streaming platforms, rightsholders, leagues, and financial institutions, and is recognised as one of the industry's most-cited sources on global sports media rights spend.
The Role: Ampere is looking to recruit a full-time Senior Analyst to join its Sports Media Rights team. The primary focus of this role is supporting the growth of Ampere's syndicated media rights data product, with responsibilities spanning data collection, modelling, and editorial output. This is an opportunity to work alongside a team of globally recognised experts in sports, media, and entertainment, exploring trends across broadcast rights, streaming, fan engagement, and emerging business models, while contributing to research that shapes industry understanding of the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help expand and further develop Ampere's existing database of media rights deals
- Maintain and build new models underpinning Ampere's dataset
- Create thought-leadership content to drive awareness of Ampere's expertise and data coverage
- Produce engaging analytics pieces to support client understanding of sector trends
- Support sales and marketing initiatives, including client-facing conversations
- Contribute to custom consulting projects within the media rights sector, working alongside wider Ampere teams
About You:
- 2β4 years' experience in a research, strategy, or analysis role within the sports industry, gained at a rightsholder, agency, analyst house, or consultancy
- Strong analytical skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to interpret nuance within complex datasets
- Confident communicator, able to translate complex issues clearly, both in writing and in person
- Flexible and curious, with an appetite to develop skills across data modelling, analysis, and industry knowledge
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; basic knowledge of Python or SQL is an advantage but not essential
- A genuine interest in the sports industry, with the motivation to build deep sector expertise
