The role is marketing-led in focus, with responsibility for driving revenue, fan engagement and brand growth, whilst ensuring that media and communications activity continues to evolve in alignment with the wider strategy of the organisation.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, the Head of Marketing will lead the development and delivery of a clear, effective and commercially focused marketing strategy across all areas of the club including ticketing, retail, commercial partnerships, hospitality and wider brand activity. You will take ownership of campaign planning and execution, ensuring all marketing initiatives are creative, data-led and aligned to commercial objectives. A strong emphasis will be placed on driving measurable growth in revenue, attendance and supporter engagement. Alongside this, you will oversee the club’s media and communications function, managing a small, dynamic in-house team of two direct reports. You will ensure content output is consistent, engaging and reflective of the club’s identity, maintaining high standards across digital, social and traditional media channels.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support a lean media team, creating a high-performance and collaborative working environment.
- Work closely with commercial and senior leadership teams to maximise partnership activations and brand exposure.
- Ensure all supporter-facing communications are clear, engaging and aligned with the club’s values.
- Play an active role in enhancing the matchday experience through marketing and content initiatives.
Who We’re Looking For

You will bring proven leadership experience and the ability to manage and develop a small team, whilst remaining hands-on in delivering high-quality work. Strong communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to build effective relationships across an organisation and with external stakeholders. Experience within sport or a fan-driven environment would be highly advantageous, although we will equally consider candidates who can demonstrate a genuine passion for the industry and a clear understanding of supporter engagement.
