Business Development Manager | Falkirk FC

The Falkirk Stadium | Full-time, Permanent | Salary DOE plus bonus scheme

Sporting Jobs are delighted to be working with Falkirk Football Club on the appointment of a Business Development Manager.

Falkirk is a fan-owned club, and that shapes everything about how it works. People come first, local businesses are partners in the club’s success, and the commercial team plays a big part in where the club goes next.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you’ll grow income from sponsorship, advertising, hospitality and club events. You’ll bring in new business, look after existing partners and make sure every sponsor gets what they were promised, delivered well.

What you’ll be doing

  • Generating leads and contacting prospects by phone, email and in person, then preparing proposals and closing deals
  • Selling across the club’s sponsorship and advertising inventory, matchday and seasonal hospitality, and event packages
  • Managing renewals, player sponsorships and upsell opportunities
  • Acting as the day-to-day contact for commercial partners and making sure all activations and contracted benefits are delivered
  • Growing the Bairns Business Club into a large, thriving network for local businesses
  • Running your pipeline in Sponsor CX, the club’s CRM, and reporting weekly on sales against target
  • Working with Media and Communications, Supporter Services and the Events team, and supporting home matchdays and club events

What you’ll bring

  • Proven commercial sales experience, with a track record of winning business and hitting financial targets
  • Confidence on the phone, building rapport and asking for the business
  • Creativity in putting together sponsorship packages, activations and ideas to grow hospitality and event sales
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and a reliable approach to follow-up and record keeping
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and a CRM
  • Availability for home matchdays, club events and relevant evenings and weekends

Experience in sponsorship, hospitality, events or sport, a sales or marketing qualification, or an interest in football and Falkirk FC would all be a bonus.

What’s on offer

  • Competitive salary plus bonus scheme
  • 28 days holiday
  • Flexible approach to working

Falkirk FC welcomes conversations about alternative working patterns and does not tolerate bullying, harassment or discrimination.
