We're recruiting a Conferencing & Events Sales Manager for a high-profile sports & entertainment venue in Birmingham - operating at the intersection of corporate events, live entertainment, and sports hospitality.
Details:
- Permanent, full-time (37.5 hrs/week).
- Salary up to £60k, plus benefits.
What you'll do:
- Lead and develop a conferencing and events sales team, setting targets and coaching performance.
- Own the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to conversion and post-event review.
- Manage key corporate accounts and build long-term client relationships.
- Use CRM data, pace reports, and forecasts to maximise yield across the events calendar.
- Collaborate with operations, F&B, and marketing to deliver seamless events.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and keep ahead of market and competitor trends.
What we're looking for:
- Proven background in conferencing, events, or hospitality sales management - live events or sports venue experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of leading a sales team to hit and exceed targets.
- Strong commercial acumen — forecasting, margin awareness, yield management.
- Confident CRM and data-led approach to pipeline management.
- Senior-level relationship and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work event days and matchdays alongside core office hours.
