Operating in school and university venues, we deliver a best-in-class learn-to-swim experience in the local community for 3-11 year olds. By delivering lessons from the school pool, we are able to teach high-quality lessons to more children and give back to the local community. We invest in the local school pool and in many cases help prevent the closure of pools across the country.

Your primary role will be to teach our quality swimming programme for 3-11 years to inspire children to swim through fun and innovative methods, delivering excellent standards of customer experience for swimmers and parents, and changing lives by giving every child the opportunity to learn to swim.

As part of your teaching role, you will not only deliver fun and inspiring lessons but also use technology to track swimmers' progress, work as part of a team to deliver a premium experience. This includes customer engagement, attending training and team meetings to share best practices and learn from each other.

This role is for weekday evenings and weekend hours, on a self-employed contract with guaranteed hours. We are seeking an engaging and inspiring individual to work as an Operations Assistant, supporting our industry-leading swimming team at centres across the UK. Are you an excellent communicator with great organisational skills and patience? Do you have experience working with children and parents? Then look no further.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting customers enthusiastically and checking them in
  • Managing seamless entry and checking registers
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
  • Providing lifesaving supervisory duties during lessons
  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and warm environment
  • Supporting first aid responses when needed
  • Upholding brand standards, policies, and procedures
  • Supporting the Swimming Teachers and Business Manager
  • Welcoming new customers and guiding them within the venue
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Answering queries and building relationships with clients
  • Responding promptly to enquiries
  • Providing feedback and staying updated on campaigns and events
  • Promoting the brand and communicating safety procedures

Person specification:

  • Able to swim confidently to a reasonable standard, including submerging to 2m depth
  • Enthusiastic and confident personality
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to engage with clients and build relationships
  • Experience in customer-facing roles
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and independent
  • Lifeguard and first aid qualifications are desirable but can be provided
