A professional sports team based in the Midlands is seeking an experienced Ticketing Systems Manager to take ownership of its ticketing technology and operational delivery across all fixtures and events. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented ticketing professional who enjoys working at the intersection of systems, operations and supporter experience. Reporting into the Head of Ticketing, you will be responsible for ensuring ticketing platforms, processes and matchday delivery operate smoothly, securely and efficiently, while identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
The Opportunity
As Ticketing Systems Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical and operational readiness of ticketing activity. Your focus will be on system configuration, event setup, operational coordination and continuous enhancement of the supporter journey.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Owning the configuration and ongoing performance of the club’s ticketing systems and related platforms
- Managing all event builds and on-sales, ensuring accuracy across pricing, inventory and access rules
- Acting as the operational lead for ticketing on event days, working closely with safety, stadium and access control teams
- Coordinating ticketing arrangements with external stakeholders, including governing bodies and visiting teams
- Ensuring ticketing technology, hardware and integrations are fully tested and event-ready
- Producing sales, attendance and operational insight to support planning and decision-making
- Managing relationships with system providers and operational partners
- Supporting system enhancements, new feature releases and internal training
- Reviewing processes and workflows to improve efficiency, compliance and customer experience
About You
You will bring strong experience in ticketing systems and venue operations, with the confidence to take ownership in a fast-paced environment. You will be highly organised, technically capable and comfortable managing competing priorities around major events.
Essential experience and attributes:
- Demonstrable experience managing ticketing systems within sport, live events or large venues
- Strong working knowledge of digital ticketing platforms and access control environments
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in time-critical situations
- Confident communicator with experience working across departments and with external partners
- Strong IT skills and experience working with ticketing data and reporting
- Experience working within a professional sports organisation
- Exposure to enterprise ticketing platforms such as SeatGeek or similar systems
