A professional sports team based in the West Midlands is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Partnerships Sales Manager to support the continued growth of its commercial operations. This role is ideally suited to a candidate seeking a new business–focused sales position, with responsibility for identifying, pitching and securing new commercial partnerships, alongside managing and developing existing partner relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and secure new commercial partnership and sponsorship opportunities
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal development through to negotiation and contract close
  • Build, manage and grow a portfolio of commercial partners, ensuring contractual delivery and long-term value
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements that deliver measurable revenue growth and brand enhancement
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to activate partnerships effectively
  • Consistently achieve and exceed commercial and new business targets

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in new business sales, commercial partnerships or sponsorship acquisition
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business development, partnership management or a similar commercial role
  • Experience within the sports, entertainment or football industry is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and brand decision-makers
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and relationship-building skills
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented and commercially astute
