Sporting Jobs are partnering with a leading creative PR and marketing agency to recruit an Account Director to support the growth of several sports clients, including a flagship women’s football account. This is a senior, strategic role offering the chance to shape high-impact campaigns at the intersection of sport, culture, and PR across Europe. Role Overview
- Take strategic ownership of a flagship women’s football account, alongside contributing to campaigns across accounts in other sports.
- Act as senior client lead, driving campaign planning, talent activations, and media engagement across European markets.
- Play a pivotal role in agency growth, identifying new business opportunities and opening doors to wider sports sectors.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a talented team to deliver campaigns of the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage relationships across the women’s football account and other sports clients.
- Oversee planning and delivery of PR and creative marketing campaigns around major fixtures, tournaments, and sporting events.
- Manage talent, player, and ambassador partnerships across multiple European markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with football and sports media, influencers, players, and stakeholders.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, contributing to agency growth.
- Support pitches, proposals, and onboarding of new clients.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior and mid-level team members.
- Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
What We Are Looking For
- We’re seeking a senior-level candidate with a strong track record in women’s football and/or the wider sports industry, including:
- Proven experience leading a women’s football or European football account.
- Strong understanding of the European football landscape, competitions, and media ecosystem.
- Experience managing talent, player, or ambassador activity across multiple markets.
- Established relationships within football and sports media networks.
- Demonstrable experience leading PR campaigns in sport.
- Commercial acumen, including contribution to new business or account growth.
- Confident people leader with experience managing and developing teams.
- Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Passion, drive, and deep knowledge of women’s football; interest in other sports a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages welcomed.
