What will you be doing? The Project Coordinator will support the delivery of Cycle Sisters’ programmes, with a particular focus on coordinating our expansion outside London, alongside supporting ongoing London-based delivery. We have secured funding to pilot the set-up of two new women‑led cycling groups outside London, testing and refining our model in new areas before scaling further. Working closely with the CEO and the wider team, you will support community partners, coordinate training, mentor volunteers and ensure activities are delivered safely, inclusively and in line with our faith‑based values.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Expansion outside London: Act as the main delivery lead for Cycle Sisters’ expansion outside London, with strategic oversight and support from the CEO. Build and maintain positive relationships with community organisations, local authorities and other partners to support the effective running of new groups. Support community partners to recruit and support local volunteer Ride Leaders. Coordinate volunteer training working with local providers. Source essential equipment for new groups, including bikes and Ride Leader packs. Provide ongoing mentoring and support to new groups, including regular remote support and occasional visits (approximately 6-8 visits per year). Work with the Director of Operations to establish clear and consistent data collection processes to support learning and reporting. Capture learning from delivery and contribute to refining systems, resources and delivery models for future expansion. Connect new groups outside London into Cycle Sisters’ wider network, including access to initiatives such as Switch Your Journey and Smiles & Miles, and online skills sessions for volunteers.
  • Other London-based Programme delivery: Coordinate and support cycling activities in London, involving similar delivery, volunteer support, logistics and training coordination responsibilities to those outlined above. Work closely with other London-based Project Coordinators to ensure consistency and quality across programmes, share learning and support continuous improvement in delivery.
  • Across all programmes: Develop and implement delivery plans in line with agreed project objectives, deliverables and budgets. Support the preparation of reports and updates for funders and partners. Work with the Communications & Media Coordinator to identify stories and case studies from projects and support content for social media and website. Occasionally represent Cycle Sisters at external events. Ensure all activities are delivered safely, inclusively and accessibly, in line with Cycle Sisters’ safeguarding, health and safety and equality policies.
